Field-Evolved Sulfoxaflor Resistance of Three Wheat Aphid Species in China
نویسندگان
چکیده
Sulfoxaflor belongs to a new class of insecticides which are effective against many sap-feeding pests. Sitobion miscanthi, Rhopalosiphum padi, and Metopolophium dirhodum the predominant pests coexisting on wheat plants. It is unknown whether these aphid species have developed resistance sulfoxaflor. Here, susceptibilities three from different regions China sulfoxaflor were evaluated. The results showed that two S. one R. M. field populations highly resistant Additionally, 13 9 4 moderately Analysis differences in toxicity susceptibility levels padi 20 regions, 5 3 greater than those same respectively. Thus, each has resistant. more susceptible miscanthi. These findings provide insights into insecticide development rational use.

Genome of Russian wheat aphid an economically important cereal aphid
Although the hemipterans (Aphididae) are comprised of roughly 50,000 extant insect species, only four have sequenced genomes that are publically available, namely Acyrthosiphon pisum (pea aphid), Rhodnius prolixus (Kissing bug), Myzus persicae (Green peach aphid) and Diuraphis noxia (Russian wheat aphid). As a significant proportion of agricultural pests are phloem feeding aphids, it is crucial...

BACKGROUND Evolution of resistance threatens the continued success of transgenic crops expressing insecticidal proteins. One of the key factors for successful resistance management is the timely implementation of monitoring programmes to detect early changes of resistance allele frequency in field populations. F(1)/F(2) screen, dose-response bioassays and field survey were used to monitor resis...
